Reinforcement of the tube in the tread area makes the tube more resistant to pinch and puncture. The reinforcement offers higher resistance to the penetrating object. The tube is partly pushed into the inside of the tyre and this prevents the tube from penetration or causes only a partial penetration. It is an ideal solution for bicycle touring.
